Lumintheme – Release Notes

Following change log is for Revive, Beauty, Florence, Olivia, Denim, Gloow, Smile, Architect, Organic, Florence and Status themes.

Important Notice:
This is a major update. You cannot upgrade directly from Lumintheme v15.x.x or earlier to v16.x.x, as this version is built on an entirely new architecture.
While previous versions of Lumintheme were developed on the standard Shopify OS 2.0, version 16 is rebuilt from the ground up using Shopify Theme Blocks.
To use Lumintheme Revive, you will need to install the theme from the new package and set it up from scratch.

Version 16.4.5 — Date Sep 11, 2025

We’ve rolled out a new update focused on fixing key issues, improving performance, and enhancing usability.

🛠 Fixes

  • Fixed issue in Featured Product where hidden variants were not working when displaying feature images instead of variant images.
  • Fixed issue in Quantity Breaks where changing the variant did not update the saved amount and per-unit price correctly.
  • Removed extra spacing between header icons on mobile to ensure correct display when multiple icons are present.
  • Fixed Thumbnail Slider height issue when using left or right layout combinations on both Featured Product and Product Page.

⚡ Improvements

  • Optimized CSS and JavaScript files to reduce loading time and improve site performance.
  • Added scrolling text support inside the product information section for better content display.
  • General bug fixes and overall improvements to theme stability and performance.

We’re excited to announce the latest update of Lumintheme (v16.4.0). This release brings powerful new features, performance improvements, and bug fixes to help you create a faster, more engaging shopping experience.

  🚀 New Features & Enhancements

  • Dot Navigation on Mobile Product Images – Improved navigation for product image galleries on mobile. 
  • Feature Image Priority – Added option for product pages to display the featured image first instead of the first variant image.
  • Show selected variant images only – Link product photos directly to variants (e.g., “Color” or “Style”) so customers only see images relevant to the selected variant.
  • Improved Description Styling – Bullet point alignment fixes for product descriptions.
  • New Promotion Block – Create urgency and drive conversions with customizable promotional blocks. 

⭐ Review Section Improvements

  • Customers can now leave reviews directly on your store.
  • Reviews are sent to your Shopify contact email for approval and then you can add that review to review section via Theme Editor.
  • Added review bars and a thumbnail gallery for a more engaging look.
  • Ability to assign reviews to specific products.
  • New review popup when clicking on a review or review image.

🛒 Sales & Conversion Boosters

  • Hide Products by Tag – Use the hide_product tag to prevent selected products from being visible in your storefront.
  • Sticky Add to Cart – Correctly displays prices from quantity break bundles.
  • Cart Drawer Upsell Slider – Show upsell products in a slider inside the cart drawer.

🎨 Design & Experience Fixes

  • Background color schemes now render correctly on product pages.
  • CSS refinements and general bug fixes for smoother browsing.

📦 Quantity Breaks Extension

  • Add an extra upsell product within the quantity breaks bundle.
  • Display price per piece, discount amount, and discount percentage in bundle text for more clarity.

Email Popup Banner – Alignment issues on mobile devices have been corrected for a cleaner appearance.

Quantity Break Compare Price – Fixed compare-at price display for quantity break offers.

Promo Block – Resolved display and formatting issues.

List Feature – Fixed layout inconsistencies.

Percent Block – Corrected percentage calculations and display formatting.

General CSS Fixes – Minor styling and spacing adjustments across multiple sections for a more polished look.

Bug Fixes

Currency Code Display – Fixed issue where currency code was not showing in drawer cart and quantity breaks, even when enabled in settings.

Cart Checkbox Upsell – Resolved bug where the selected product wasn’t being automatically added every time despite the default setting.

Cart Upsells Visibility – Fixed inconsistency where recommended products sometimes failed to display in the cart.

Swatches – Resolved issue where color and image swatches were not appearing for some users.

Product Information Padding & Margins – Added padding/margin controls for:

Product Information – Pop-up Block – Added option to set font size in pixels (px).

Product Information – Collapsible Row – Added “Open by default” toggle and padding/margin settings.

Quantity Breaks – Restored ready-to-use handle for per unit price display (as in 15.x.x), previously available as ($/%).

Product Information – Image Block – Reintroduced Image Block in product templates (previously missing in 16.x.x).

New Features

Added countdown timer in the cart drawer and cart page to create urgency and increase conversions.

Bug Fixes

Fixed the bug where some customers were unable to apply discount codes in the cart drawer.

Fixed the issue where the scrollbar overlapped the menu drawer on mobile devices.

Fixed the background overlay when the cart drawer is opened to ensure proper dimming of the content.

CSS Fixes and Improvements

Added new styles to the progress bar in the cart drawer and cart page for a cleaner appearance.

Fixed countdown timer customisation CSS issues to ensure consistency with theme design settings.

  7. Added a new video story slider block for immersive product storytelling.
  8. Introduced a shipping timeline block to communicate estimated delivery clearly.

Bug Fix

  • Fixed an issue where the sale badge on the product page did not display the amount correctly when a saving price was shown.

This release is part of a larger transition to align Lumintheme with Shopify’s latest development standards. Many more updates and improvements are scheduled to be released soon, including new layouts, advanced blocks, and deeper app integrations.
